The Rural Bank of Central Pangasinan Inc. (RBCP) is committed to fully protect our client’s personal data privacy in compliance with Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA), its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) and other relevant policies including issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC).

This Privacy Policy details our practices regarding the collection, protection, use, and sharing of information when one applies for and utilizes our products and services.

RBCP prioritizes the privacy and security of our customers' personal information. This Data Privacy Statement outlines our commitment to safeguarding our customers’ data, explaining how we collect, use, store, and protect your information in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Information We Collect

When you apply for or use any RBCP product or service, or interact with our employees, authorized representatives, or service providers, we collect your personal information. We also collect personal information when you submit to us your application for employment, offer/bid to purchase properties, complaints, inquiries or requests through various modes (such as thru telephone, mail, email, website, social media and personal submission). This may include, among other details: 

Your name and personal details such as contact information, address, gender, birthdate, nationality, marital status, and education.

• Specimen signatures.
• Details and photocopies of your government or other supporting IDs, along with digital photos and biometrics captured or submitted during your transactions.
• Financial information (including income, expenses, balances, investments, tax, insurance, financial and transaction history).

• Images captured by CCTV and other recording devices when visiting our offices or using our facilities.

How We Use Your Information

For Clients

To comply with relevant and applicable laws in the Philippines and those of other jurisdictions, such as but not limited to:

• Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2001 or the Republic Act No. 9160.
• Credit Information System Act (CISA) or the Republic Act No. 9510.
• Bank Secrecy Law or the Republic Act No. 1405.
• The General Banking Law of 2000 or the Republic Act No. 8791.
• Data Privacy Act of 2012 or the Republic Act No. 10173.
• And perform other such activities permitted by law or with your consent.

For KYC Procedures: To carry out know-your-client (KYC) and customer identification processes to verify your identity in accordance with the regulatory requirements of the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), Credit Information Corporation (CIC) and the National Privacy Commission (NPC).

For Banking Transactions. To provide and complete the services, activities, and transactions you request or authorize for deposits, loans, and other products and services you have with RBCP.

• Communicate with you about your accounts and our services.
• Conduct credit checks and assess creditworthiness.

• For Research and Profiling: To conduct studies, research, automatic and manual profile analysis, and behavioral modeling based on the values, scores, metrics derived from your personal data, as well as your preferences and financial behavior across product interactions.

For Employees

Personal data is used for various HR-related purposes, including:
